Golf vacations in Indonesia are in a class of its own, the ultimate "dream golf break" if you will. One such dream golf break actually leaves from Bali.
Day 1
Imagine boarding the Katharina, a traditional Phinisi schooner on a Saturday morning and setting sail for a trip to Gili Trawangan, one of the three lovely islets on the north-west coast of the island of Lombok where you will arrive at approximately 2.30pm.

There you will either go on shore to explore this tiny islet that is home to only horse carriages or you just stay on board to enjoy a lazy hazy afternoon of fishing, snorkeling, swimming and sun bathing. Late afternoon, the boat sets sail again and this time for a trip to Nara Bay at mainland Lombok, where you will enjoy an a la carte diner sprinkled with Rose wine that is served on deck. The night will be spent on anchor.
Day 2
The next morning you will board a small motor vessel that will drop you off at the beach of hole #4 of the

course Thomson & Wolveridge designed golf course of Lombok Kosaido. There you will be picked up from the beach to be taken to the clubhouse where you prepare for 18 holes of tropical golf on course that is fringed by white sandy beaches and waving palm trees.
After your round of golf, you will be taken overland to the harbor of Lembar, in south Lombok, where you will board the boat again.
BBQ on the beach of an uninhabited island From there you sail to the uninhabited islet of Gili Tangkong, some 45 minutes out off Lombok's coastline where you will spent the rest of the afternoon, swimming, exploring the beach, drinking from freshly plucked coconuts and enjoy a seafood beach BBQ in splendid isolation, light years away from the noisy Bali crowds and only accompanied by acoustic music from the ships' band.
Day 3
The next day you will be woken up by the smell of freshly oven-baked croissants that will be the interlude to a sumptuous breakfast on deck with perfect views on both the Agung and Rinjani volcanoes. After breakfast you will be taken to the incredible coral reefs of the adjacent island of Gili Nanggu, for an unforgettable snorkeling experience.
After lunch the ship will sail to the island of Nusa Lembongan, 
We are sailing, we are sailing... off the east coast of Bali, where you will arrive at approximately 2.30pm. After you have explored the island's idyllic cafés and sea food eateries, late in the afternoon the ship will set sail and will take you back to mainland Bali where the crew will say farewell to you. You will then be transferred to your hotel or place of departure for your trip home.
